Christian has served as volunteer in more than 10 protected areas in Costa Rica, then he focused in supporting sea turtle projects and ecotourism activities. He arrived from Cabo Blanco Absolute Reserve to Las Baulas National Marine Park to coordinate the volunteer program in alliance with the University of Costa Rica. Months later, he still supported the Park's environmental education and ecotourism program. Months later, he was hired as Community Outreach Coordinator by an international NGO, The Leatherback Trust, that works in the research and conservation of sea turtles. Now, he started this project, more linked in ecotourism in non-protected areas, and working ad-honorem in Las Baulas National Marine Park in environmental education with volunteers of the University of Costa Rica. |

- Hardworker and mother of 3 beautiful children. Alejandra is a very hard worker woman, mother of 3 girls. She has multiple experience in the tourism industry as house cleaner and char in hotels close to Las Baulas National Marine Park. Later, she started working as guide assistant in this protected area for the leatherback turtle tour managed by the Asociación de Guías Locales de Matapalo. Years later, after learning and experiencing the sea turtle work each season, she received the support of the Association and a local NGO to study and received the credential as Local Guide specialized in sea turtles. Now she is supporting Pecho Amarillo Black Turtle Tour, and during leatherback nesting season in Las Baulas National Marine Park she works as local guide in the Matapalo Local Guides Association. |
