We promise you the best experiences to learn and see by yourself why Nature is so fantastic! Why Pecho amarillo?“Pecho Amarillo” is one of the Spanish names of the Great Kiskadee (Pitangus sulphuratus). Its characteristic call is heard around all the Americas and it is easy to see from lowlands to middle elevations.
We felt identified with this bird as we were used to see them since childhood; we are impressed from its behavior, colors and their calls. Lot of people in Costa Rica likes the way this bird gets close to trees, catch their food and shower in small ponds. We also found this bird unique because of the way they mob other animals such as raptors or predators by using their strong and maneuverable flight. Also, the way they sometimes hunt in pairs or the communication they have between them are very interesting to see. Besides the flies, they also prey small tadpoles or fish, being one of the few passerines to have this behavior. Even though if you have seen one Pecho Amarillo, we will be very happy to see one and we will be more than willing to explain you more about them. |
Thank You!
This small company will not grow with the support of our dear customers and so many people who have been giving us a hand, or even both. Thanks a lot!!
